We're working hard at HDL to provide quality and great prices to our customers. We put alot of time and attention to detail into each of our handmade products, and choose our wholesalers carefully. We pledge to continually improve our service and expand our inventory, to provide the best products, and to ensure quick, reliable delivery to your door.

Dachshund Rescue

We are NOT A BREEDER, nor will we refer one. We will, however, go out of our way to put customers in contact with friends at DACHSHUND RESCUE. We are committed to educating others on the importance of rescue, and the care of disabled dachshunds. All of those who care for disabled, hearing or sight impaired dachshunds continue to prove that these dogs live long, happy lives.

Sukoshi

(The Boss Lady)

Sukoshi, 13, is the epitome of courageous fighting spirit. She is a canine breast cancer survivor, and an inspiration. After the second biopsy, moderate-malignant, I fed organic. The third biopsy, I realized that wasn't enough. I had been given another chance to do everything in my power to prevent a 4th. I rid our home of every mass-marketed, carcinogen ingredient cleaning product in our home. Laundry detergent, dish detergent, cleaners, dryer sheets, you name it. If it had toxic chemicals in it, it was gone. It made perfect sense. Why clean the floor with toxic products, have the dogs walk on the floor, then they lick their paws?! I was washing her blankets with toxic detergent and dryer sheets, and she would lick the blankets! The same is true with washing dishes. I was putting her food and water bowls in the dishwasher and using detergents made with carcinogens!
It didn't take me long to realize I had to STOP buying and using these products. For her, and our whole expanding family...

Shumai
(The Superstar)

Shumai, Sukoshi's son, 9, has won several costume contests, appeared in fashion shows and has also done some Therapy Dog work. His new favorite food is organic green beans.

I am owned by Dachshunds (and only Dachshunds) my whole life. Hard work and the long hours involved have made this site, and the items I make, "a labor of love". I'm also an aquarian and avian hobbyist. I am passionate about having a safe, green home for my expanding family...
